Sossusvlei

Namibia. Somewhere within the 32.000 km2 sand dune area lies de Sossusvlei, literally “dead end” (Afican) “marsh” (Nama). The river water once flooded the area. But that is history. An impressive place to be, between the dead Acacia’s and the high sand dunes (highest is 380 meter).
