Olive Desert
I know that olives and olive oil are healthy food products and preferred by many in a variety of perfect dishes. Travelling through to this Spanish landscape though what stands out is the almost absurd dominance of the olive tree monoculture. The landscape stretches itself out as a desert, where all other life is banned. Just earth and olive trees. We know how vulnerable monocultures can be. A risky landscape.
The Circus
The Circus in the city of Bath is a historic ring of large townhouses, forming a circle with three entrances. It is architecturally spoken a form of art, putting living in a circle in a new (geometrical) dimension. The brownish colour palette is unique on this summers day.
Infrastructure & Information
Information about the city infrastructure can be found on every wall and every corner. Signs which tell us a lot about in this case the underground. Sometimes the palette can be almost a form of art. The blue, silver and white send quietness in composition.
No smoking
No smoking can be a relevant message. On the ferry Calais-Dover the sign is almost a form of art in this colour and shade palette. It is a silent reminder for those who develop promises for the year to come.
