Serengeti Blues

The story behind

Once a pristine and unique ecosystem, the Serengeti in Tanzania, where many animals live, meet and breed. Balanced, rich and telling the storing of our planet from ancient times on.

Now the immense grasslands (green) are step by step, disturbed by more tourist roads (white), system borders (black) and settlings (red). It is increasingly coming under pressure. This unique ecosystem is literally cut into pieces. An art expression.

This rectangle archival pigment print of the city canvas with Pantone® colours Black 6c, High Risk Red and Grass Green is perfect for a modern, classic and reflective look in home and office interiors. It is a reminder of how one of the most pristine and key natural ecosystems in the world is on the brink of devaluation.

Climate Change

Climate change is present everywhere. It is in all the headlines now. From the eagle (or International Space Station) perspective, one can sense the significant impact of it. The ecosystems of coral reefs and forests are mostly affected. Ice sheets melt everywhere, and storms rage in our homes and cities. Their colours dominate the landscape.

What stands out is the small blue square. That is government. In fact, it is us. Doing not that much to prevent, adapt and redirect this change. A small blue dot within our blue marble Earth. An art expression.

This rectangle archival pigment print of the city canvas with Pantone® colours Forest Biome, Living Coral, Snow White and Storm Gray is perfect for a modern, classic and reflective look in home and office interiors. It is an urgent reminder of climate change hurting our pristine and critical natural ecosystems and our present small effort to prevent and react.

Crossroads

Finding your way in the world of laws, rules and regulations (taupe) can be quite challenging. It is a true network of alleys, paths, lanes, roads and crossroads, ready to be discovered. It starts with some understanding of our legal system. Knowledge is the road and helps to navigate along the roadblocks (black and red).

This rectangle archival pigment print of the city canvas with Pantone® colours Black 6c, High Risk Red and Taupe is perfect for a modern, classic and reflective look in the home and office interiors. It is a reminder of how the landscape of rules and regulations can be challenging to find your freedom and creativity.

Dominating Frame

The Four Freedoms, articulated in 1941 by U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt, are about four fundamental freedoms that people “everywhere in the world” ought to enjoy: speech, worship, want and fear. In 2023, more and more citizens will not experience (one of) these freedoms. It is often the (absolute) power of governing institutions over the people which develops a dominating frame with rules and regulations. It then leaves the citizen with hardly any breathing space, creativity and freedom in its living world.

This rectangle archival pigment print of the city canvas with Pantone® colours Black 6c (system world) and Terra Cotta (citizen) is perfect for a modern, classic and reflective look in home and office interiors. It is an urgent reminder of how rules and regulations reduce freedom and creativity. The Pantone® colour Bright White (living world) is missing.

Stimulating Frame

The Four Freedoms, articulated in 1941 by U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt, are about four fundamental freedoms that people “everywhere in the world” ought to enjoy: speech, worship, want and fear. For that, a stimulating and wide frame by the government (and its system world) is needed, if not conditional. It will give the citizen maximum breathing space, creativity and freedom in its living world. Four freedoms would be great.

This rectangle archival pigment print of the city canvas with Pantone® colours Bright White (living world), Black 6c (system world) and Terra Cotta (citizen) is perfect for a modern, classic and reflective look in home and office interiors. It is a reminder of how a stimulating frame contributes to freedom.
